The Head of State attended, accompanied by Foreign Minister Antonia Urrejola; Irina Karamanos, the Chilean Ambassador to Colombia, Ricardo Hernández and the Chief of Staff Matías Meza Lopehandía.
During Sunday the President held a bilateral meeting with the President of Bolivia Luis Arce. Then he moved to the Plaza de Bolivar in central Bogotá, where the ceremony of the transfer of command takes place.
The latter was attended by about 11 heads of delegations, including King Felipe VI. of Spain and the leaders of Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Paraguay, Curaçao, Panama, Honduras, Costa Rica and Argentina.
At the end of the ceremony, the delegations will go to the Casa de Nariño for a reception and the official greeting of President Gustavo Petro.
On Monday, August 8th, the President of the Republic, Gabriel Boric Font, will hold the first bilateral meeting with Colombian President Gustavo Petro, who will receive him at Casa de Nariño.
Finally, at 1:00 p.m. (local time), the head of state travels back to Chile to El Tepual Airport in the city of Puerto Montt.
