President Maduro describes meeting with Guyana in St. Vincent and the Grenadines as historic

The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, held this Saturday a meeting with the country's military high command to defend the social peace of the Venezuelan people and State. Maduro Moros welcomed Venezuela's progress in demanding Guayana Esequiba. He recalled that the meeting was an expression of peace, diplomacy and respect. He explained that, among others, nine prime ministers from Caribbean countries as well as government representatives from Brazil, Honduras and Colombia were present.

He estimated that the outcome of the meeting in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was the best tribute to the 19 years of the founding of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of our America – People's Trade Treaty (ALBA – TCP), as well as to the 29th anniversary of the first meeting between the Commanders Fidel Castro and Hugo Chávez.

He appreciates that a consensus has been reached in the capital, San Vicente, that directs this situation, this situation, he said. According to President Nicolás Maduro, the country is ending 2023 with a comprehensive offensive on all fronts and in the five consensus areas: 1) Building a new economic model and continuing the path of work, national effort, recovery, growth and economic diversification ; 2) Condemnation of US and European criminal sanctions; 3) Defend peace, coexistence, tolerance and dialogue among Venezuelans and reject hatred and violence and reject divisionism; 4) Restoration of the welfare state damaged by economic sanctions and aggression and 5) Restoration of Guayana Esequiba through public, national and international law.

During the meeting with the military high command, among other things, strategies against conspiracies against Venezuela and the operational use of the FANB to ensure sovereignty, calm and independence during the year-end holidays were assessed.
