President of the United Arab Emirates receives the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian was received by UAE Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar this Thursday as part of his diplomatic agenda with various Arab countries.

“Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian arrived at Abu Dhabi Airport on the fourth and final leg of his regional visit to the Gulf States and was received by UAE Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar,” the ministry confirmed.

According to the Emirati agency WAM, the foreign minister conveyed the greetings of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, to the head of state of the United Arab Emirates.

Likewise, the Iranian diplomat met with UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Thursday.

According to the ministry, the diplomats discussed the main problems of their countries in various political, economic, commercial, consular, cultural and scientific areas.

On June 21, Iran’s foreign minister reported via his Twitter account that after completing talks and following up on the current situation of bilateral, international and regional issues in Bahrain, Oman and Kuwait, he will leave for the United Arab Emirates.

“Converging and solving challenges with the collective participation of the countries of the region is the best way to realize the progress of nations and ensure security in the Persian Gulf,” said Hossein Amirabdollahian.
