Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed on Tuesday that the goals of the special military operation in Ukraine will be achieved and said that there is no doubt about it.

During his speech at the Vostochny-Amur Cosmodrome on the occasion of the Day of Cosmonauts, the Kremlin Minister noted: “The goals are very clear and noble. The main goal is to help the people of Donbass.”

In this sense, the head of state emphasized his performance: “There is no doubt that it will be like this.” Likewise, he responded to Western insinuations that the military operation in Ukraine has failed after failing to achieve its goals within the allotted time.

However, Putin explained the reasons that motivated the use of the armed route in Ukraine: “We were forced to do it because, under pressure from the West, the authorities in Kyiv refused to comply with the Minsk agreements aimed at peacefully resolving the problems of the conflict Donbass”.

In line with this, the President argued that the West’s actions aimed at “turning Ukraine into a springboard against Russia, they began to sow the seeds of nationalism and neo-Nazism that had long been present there”.

Taking into account the context in which the start of the military operation took place on February 24, the Russian President stated: “It was impossible to avoid a confrontation with these forces, they were simply looking for the moment to attack.”

At the same time, referring to the behavior of the Russian armed forces, the President declared: “They act boldly, competently, effectively and with results, they use the most modern types of weapons with unique characteristics that have no equal”.
