China is approaching its national holiday on October 1 and celebrations have already begun to mark the 74th anniversary of the founding of the republic led by historic leader Mao Zedong.
Earlier, President Xi hosted a banquet where he reviewed China’s achievements and the challenges facing the country.
Addressing the diplomatic corps accredited to China and other senior government and Communist Party officials, the President advocated a new concept of national development that would enable the country’s modernization and achieve the goal of comprehensive national revitalization.
He warned of the challenges facing the Asian giant in an international context of intense transformation.
“We must prevent major risks, promote comprehensive opening up to foreign countries, deepen reforms, promote high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative and build a more resilient economy,” he stressed.
Xi urged to increase employment, consolidate the fight against poverty and solve other problems affecting the people.
“We think about promising horizons, unity is strength and trust is worth more than gold. We must lift our spirits to overcome difficulties and move closer together to the great goal of building a strong country and revitalizing the nation,” he said.
The President insisted on applying the “one country, two systems” policy and, in this sense, supporting Hong Kong and Macau in developing their economies.
In addition, he emphasized adherence to the one-China principle and in this context emphasized that the reunification of the country is the people’s greatest desire: “It is a historical necessity and no power can stop it.”
Xi Jinping assured that in these 74 years, China has developed from a poor country to a prosperous country in all respects that is striving for modernization.
As confirmed, the Chinese economy shows “good growth dynamics” and the overall situation of society remains stable.
On foreign policy, he urged to promote the Global Development (IDG), Global Security (ISG) and Global Civilization (ICG) initiatives and promote the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.
