Presidential election: Arnold Schwarzenegger thinks Trump and Biden are too old

A new duel is emerging between Democrat Joe Biden and Republican Donald Trump, which does not please cinema legend Arnold Schwarzenegger, who believes it is time for new blood in the White House.

“For me it’s really strange to see a fight between a septuagenarian and an octogenarian, rather than witnessing a duel between candidates aged 40 to 50,” he revealed in an interview with the BBC.

The 76-year-old Terminator actor admitted that he would have liked to run for the White House if given the opportunity.

“I feel like I would have been a good president,” he said, adding that everything he “accomplished was because of America.”

“America has given me so many opportunities and Americans are so welcoming. They welcomed me with open arms. Nobody stopped me from being successful,” he said.

The former bodybuilding champion cannot run for president because he was not born in the United States.

Anti-Trump Republicans

The former Republican governor of California has often expressed his opposition to Donald Trump in the past, claiming in 2021 that he was “the worst president in history.”

The latter even admitted on CNN that he did not believe Donald Trump would win the presidency in 2024.

“I don’t think you can get re-elected if the polls show that 30 or 33% of people would vote for you,” he argued on Who’s Talking To Chris Wallace.

“We have to bring everyone together! It takes everyone to win an election, commented Schwarzenegger. People have to be willing to cross the finish line with you. Do I think he can do it? Honestly no.”
