Pressure to perform and twins: Trophies in hand, that’s the state of mind of the STAT actresses – Showbizz.net

On Sunday September 17th, the Prix Gémeaux Gala took place live from Place des Arts, honoring local television artists and artisans. It wasn’t a big surprise that STAT was nominated in multiple categories. Author Marie-Andrée Labbé also won the award for best text for a daily drama series.

The ratings clearly showed that the show resonated with audiences last year. But how does the team live with this praise? Isn’t that like adding extra pressure? We thought about it and conducted an interview with Suzanne Clément and Geneviève Schmidt, winners of the respective awards for Best Lead Actor and Best Supporting Actor for a Daily Drama Series. They told us about their gratitude and their state of mind.

Suzanne movesly pays tribute to her acting partners: “The acting team is fantastic, everyone is very inspiring and inspired.” She also emphasizes that despite her experience, it was quite a challenge for her.

This year I went to areas I didn’t know. Loss in my ability to learn text… It fascinated me! I thought it was wonderful to do and educate. “What is my routine to make it work and possible? How do we renew ourselves?” I know Marie-Andrée was in the same boat, we encouraged each other a lot.

“Okay, are we going there?!” imitates the actress, remembering her reaction to certain readings of texts. Suzanne is always amazed by the author’s choices, which she admires and describes as “permeable to humanity”, and affirms that the actors had great fun using this freedom that Marie-Andrée offered them and allowed them to choose certain ones to suggest directions.

This also applies to Geneviève, who has gained new self-confidence through her role as Isabelle and will later tell us the winner of the best supporting role in an interview.

It’s as if I, Geneviève, have given myself a confidence and a kind of validation as a woman that I didn’t have before. As much as Isabelle Granger will be there, I’m doing it at the same time.

After admitting that the recognition of the public and her colleagues is good for her, this award also represents confirmation that she is on the right path.

I realize that the public will follow my madness and my suggestions with Marie-Andrée’s texts. That means we’ll be able to go further and that’s what excites me and that’s what I want to show: “You think I’m going left, phew, I’m going RIGHT!” It gives me no pressure to do well next year, to win a trophy, on the contrary! If I get a pat on the back when I feel like I’m doing well, I feel four times better. That’s what I like about my job: it’s never about settling on what we’ve already done.”

Suzanne Clément may not be quite as energetic, but she assures us that she is the type to constantly put herself under pressure! With the trophy: “In the end it will just stay that way,” Emmanuelle’s interpreter shouts and laughs at herself in a mock-desperate tone. You can find the excerpt from a completely human and true interview with the actress here on our Facebook page.

What we learned about Emmanuelle and Isabelle’s future in Season 2 of STAT…

Although Emmanuelle is always cautious, she will be a little destabilized if her heart is suddenly at stake. We can’t wait to find out!

As for Isabelle, she’s dealing with the fallout from week one’s flirtation. Without telling us what will happen, Geneviève reminds us of these starting points: Will passion prevail for Isabelle? What will she do now that she has men around her? Is she having a midlife crisis? Let’s not forget that in the episodes aired last week, Isabelle received a job offer abroad…

STAT can be followed on ICI Télé from Monday to Thursday at 7 p.m.
