‘It was the lowest I’ve ever had in my life’: It comes after Yazmin detailed her mental health struggle as she posted video of her recovery in hospital after the fatal crash in Turkey in which her boyfriend Jake McLean died
Although the ceremony will take place on Monday evening, it will be broadcast on ITV on Thursday 27 October at 8pm.
Yazmin took to Instagram last Monday to share details of her turbulent mental health battle in support of World Mental Health Day.
She detailed her recovery from the traumatic accident that killed her boyfriend Jake McLean earlier this year, describing it as the “deepest I’ve ever had in my life.”
Yazmin accompanied the post with a video of her time in the hospital recovering from the harrowing ordeal that severed an artery and nerve in her right arm.
Horrifying: Jake was killed when his blue Mercedes E-class sedan crashed while Yazmin was left with serious injuries after breaking her arm trying to escape the rubble when Jake was unconscious in the driver’s seat (initially pictured together this year).
She explained that the video was taken by her mother Lisa, who filmed her daily at the hospital to send to her father Hamid as updates on her recovery.
Penning: “Last week my mum shared this video with me that she sent to my dad during my time in the hospital as she updated him daily. I didn’t know it was recorded at the time, but I’m glad I have this to see how far I’ve come.
Yazmin encouraged her followers that they “can get through anything” and detailed her mental health struggle after the crash.
Opening up: The reality star shared that while she wasn’t aware the videos were recorded, she’s happy to look back on them
“It was the lowest level I’ve ever had in my life. Mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically. I’m sharing this today not only for World Mental Health Day, but also to show you that with the right help and support, you can and will get through anything.
“One thing I’ve struggled with since the accident is people saying that sharing their problems with me makes them feel bad because they seem small or silly in comparison. But no matter how big or small something is, if it bothers you or upsets you, it is a problem and important.”

“I want to encourage you all to talk more. diary more. Share your feelings. & most importantly, if you’re feeling this way, take a moment to just BREATHE. trust me it helps. I want you to live each day as positively as possible and appreciate the little things.
“I’ve had some really terrible days since the accident, but I’m trying to put on a brave face and post something positive. On my worst days, you just won’t hear from me.
“But World Mental Health Day made me think maybe I should be more genuine here and share those times too, which is why I shared this today.”
Bottom line: “I had days when I didn’t think I would ever feel normal again. We all struggle at some point in our lives and we can all help each other a little bit more. Let’s be a little kinder.
“I want you to take a few minutes today to think about YOU and your sanity. Ask yourself, am I okay? For real? If the answer is no, or even a little hesitant, I would encourage you to talk to someone (a doctor, family, friend, or hotline).
“I now have therapy once a week with an amazing woman named Sandra. She really changed my life. I’m so proud of how far I’ve come, and you all should be too. If you’re going through something terrible right now, just know that you are loved and it won’t last forever. Dear Yaz #worldmentalhealthday’.

The accident happened around 4:30 a.m. and investigators have determined that the car spun about 70 feet over a left hand bend and landed in a ravine nearly 30 feet below.
