The 2023 edition of the Primavera Sound Festival begins this Saturday (2) in São Paulo with a program led by the American band The Killers.

Founded in Las Vegas in 2001 and led by Brandon Flowers, the group brings their danceable rock to the Autódromo de Interlagos. The setlist includes groovy anthems from the early 2000s “Mr. Brightside” and “Somebody Told Me” are the best known. But there are also songs from the band’s newer repertoire, such as “Boy”, with lyrics about the singer’s 17yearold son.

Audiences can also dance to the sounds of British synthpop duo Pet Shop Boys and Cansei de Ser Sexy, a Brazilian indie icon who gained international acclaim and even appeared on the major US music charts in 2007.

The first day’s program also includes The Hives, MC Bin Laden and Kelela. In its second edition in Brazil, Primavera Sound runs until Sunday (3). Tickets are available on the festival website. Prices range from R$495 to R$2,240.
