Prince Charles is at the end of his tether with Prince Harry and was reluctant to hold a secret meeting with his estranged son last week, a royal family expert has claimed.
Charles had a brief private meeting with Harry and his wife Meghan Markle at Windsor Castle when the California transplants were stopping in the UK on their way to The Hague for the Invictus Games.
“As far as I know, Charles wasn’t particularly happy about it,” author and journalist Robert Jobson said Thursday while appearing on GB News in the UK. “They only agreed to the meeting when nothing at all was said about him on American television.”
And Harry, who has been traveling with his father since stepping down from royal duties two years ago, was late for the meeting, Jobson told GB host Dan Wootton.

“The Prince of Wales is at the end of his tether, they haven’t been in touch and I think if he started bursting out about that meeting it would be the end for him and Harry,” said Jobson, who wrote several books about wrote the British royals.
Harry appeared on Today in an interview with Hoda Kotb days after the covert meeting and said he was focused on making sure his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, was “protected” and “having the right people around.”
He also said he has a special relationship with the Queen, who turned 96 on Thursday, and told Kotb she talks about things “that she can’t talk to anyone else about”.

The comments reportedly caused a stir among insiders – as did Harry’s evasion, in which he avoided saying whether he missed Charles and his brother Prince William.
“He looked pretty awkward when questions came up about his father and brother,” Jobson said.
“I think Prince Charles probably thought on this occasion that if my name comes into play, if these talks are in public places, where there are no aides present, no courtiers present, then I will not take it – he drinks the last -Chance sedan.”
