The royal children were in high spirits today as they arrived in a carriage for their grandfather’s first-ever birthday parade.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis traveled to Horse Guards Parade for Trooping the Color with their mother, the Princess of Wales, and Queen Camilla.
They enthusiastically waved to thousands of spectators who gathered outside Buckingham Palace and on The Mall as the King and Prince of Wales traveled on horseback.
Today marks the first time a monarch has ridden in Trooping the Color since Queen Elizabeth’s horse Burmese, which she carried during the 1986 ceremony.
The royal party traveled in the middle of a Sovereign’s mounted escort composed of troops from the Household Cavalry Life Guards and the Blues and Royals.

George, Charlotte and Louis will later head out onto the balcony of Buckingham Palace for a flyby – after a set was reduced for the King’s coronation in May.
Eight-year-old Princess Charlotte wore a white dress with red detailing while her hair was tied back in intricate pigtails tied in a low bun.
Her brothers George, nine, and Louis, five, wore matching navy suits, white shirts and red ties – their hair neatly combed to one side.
After the King’s Birthday Parade, the royal children will travel to the balcony of Buckingham Palace for an approximately six-minute flyby.
Around 70 aircraft from the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force stand ready to take part while members of The Firm look on.
Prince Louis has been a hit at such events in the past, previously covering his ears and screaming in desperation as the noisy planes flew by.
The Ministry of Defense (MoD) said today’s aircraft will take off from 15 locations across the UK before meeting in south-east England and flying over London.
The event ends with a red, white and blue show by the Red Arrows pilots.

Charles will be joined by the Queen and members of the Royal Family on Saturday to view the troops of the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards in their colour.
For more than 260 years, Trooping the Color has marked the ruler’s official birthday, which occurs in June, although Charles was born in November.

It will be the first time a full flyby will be possible in the reign of King Charles, after a Coronation flyby was curtailed in May due to bad weather.
Instead, helicopters and the Red Arrows could be seen, and footage of the sky showed how bad the weather was over London.
The birthday flypap has been enlarged to pay tribute to the new monarch.
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sir Rich Knighton, said: “We are very proud to showcase our capabilities to our Commander-in-Chief on this historic occasion for His Majesty the King.”
