Prince Harry was back in the spotlight at the Living Legends of Aviation Awards on Friday night after dismissing his libel lawsuit against a British publisher to “focus on his family.”

The 39-year-old Duke of Sussex was honored at the event in Beverly Hills, California, for his skills as a helicopter pilot during his decade in the British Army. He is also a flying wing recipient, which he received after completing an eight-month pilot course at the Army Aviation Center.

John Travolta – with whom Harry once had a “friendly encounter” with his wife Meghan Markle at his book release party – presented him with the aviation award.

The “Spare” author joked as he took the stage that the 69-year-old “Saturday Night Fever” star still remembered the time he danced with his late mother, Princess Diana, at the White House.

“Look at us now, it’s great,” he said. “If we don’t dance together, we’ll fly together.”

Harry's solo appearance at the awards show – without Markle – came just hours after he withdrew his lawsuit against the Mail on Sunday after suing them over a story accusing the royal of lying when he offered to pay for his own police protection in Britain.

The article in question was published in February 2022 and is still headlined: “How Prince Harry tried to keep his legal battle with the government over police bodyguards secret… and then – just minutes after the story broke – his PR tried -Machine.” give the dispute a positive turn.”

Harry's spokesman told us earlier Friday that the duke was waiting to hear whether the royal and VIP executive committee had “acted lawfully with regard to his safety.”

“He remains focused on that and the safety of his family, not these lawsuits that continue to provide a platform for the Mail's false claims all those years ago,” the representative added.

Harry has claimed that he, Markle, 42, and their two children Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1, are unsafe traveling to the UK and need more protection than the private security he already pays for.

The duke argued through his lawyers in January 2022 that his immediate family faces “well-documented threats from neo-Nazis and extremists” in the United Kingdom.

The couple moved to California that same year and have been raising their children there ever since.

However, Harry recently claimed during a court hearing that he still considers the UK his “home”.

He said last December that the region was “central to the heritage of.” [his] Children and a place [he wants] We want them to feel just as at home as they do where they currently live in the United States.”
