The Duke of Sussex left a thoughtful gift to a flight attendant on a flight to the US – a copy of his insightful memoir ‘Spare’.

Tiktoker and flight attendant Holden Pattern shared a picture of a beaming Prince Harry on an American Airlines plane on Friday, announcing that he had been gifted a copy of the Duke’s book, which was published in January.

Prince Harry was on a whirlwind trip to Britain to testify in the Mirror phone hacking trial, where he faced cross-examination after becoming the first king to take the stand since the 1890s.

The 38-year-old Duke of Sussex did not take the time during the visit to see his family, who were less than half a mile from his whereabouts, and are unlikely to see them at the King’s forthcoming birthday celebrations, which is probably the case he wasn’t invited.

Mr Pattern, a pilot and travel influencer, said he “just found this”. [the book] in my luggage given to me by a passenger,” and referred to Prince Harry as a “passenger prince.”

Prince Harry arrived in the UK on Sunday after spending his daughter Lilibet’s birthday with her and was reprimanded by the judge for not being present on the first day of his testimony against the Mirror Newspaper Group.

He came to the UK to testify for two days as part of his lawsuit against Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN) alleging that journalists used hacking, “showing off” and other illegal means of deception to write 140 articles published between 1996 and released in 2010.

The Duke appeared on the verge of tears on Wednesday as he ended his historic day and a half answering questions, becoming the first king to testify in court in more than a century.

During the tumultuous final hours on the witness stand, the Duke volunteered details of his turbulent love life, including a trip to a strip club.

MGN disputes Harry’s claims and has either denied or not admitted that articles about Harry being questioned at trial involved phone hacking or illegal activity.

The prince is said to have landed in California on Thursday evening, meaning he left the UK around midday that same day – the same move he took after the coronation of King Charles last month.

According to the Telegraph, he stayed at Frogmore Cottage for three nights, but it is expected to be his last visit to the house he once shared with his wife, having been evicted by his father in early summer.
