Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been accused of “playing with” Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles’ feelings, according to a close insider, Page Six reported.
Royal biographer Angela Levin told Good Morning Britain on Friday: “I think the Queen and Prince Charles missed her very much and that’s why Harry and Meghan could wrap her around their little fingers and use her for commercial purposes like before.”
Levin also noted that Harry and Meghan’s visit may have been planned after they were slammed for missing Prince Philip’s memorial.
“Their efforts to shake hands probably have something to do with not showing up for Prince Philip’s memorial service and finding out from that what the reaction was – it was very bad – and they can’t afford to losing that publicity,” Levin remarked.
The comments come just a day after Prince Harry and Meghan paid a secret visit to the Queen and Prince Charles in Windsor as they were en route to the Netherlands to attend the Invictus Games.
The meeting marked the first time the couple returned to the UK together since stepping down as senior royals and moving to the US in 2020.
It was also the first time Harry and Meghan had a proper meeting with the monarch and Charles since their explosive reveal with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, in which they appeared to accuse the royal family of making racist remarks towards their son Archie had.
