Prince Harry’s Book: What Happens to the Royal Family After the Release of ‘Spare’?

From Tuesday 10th, the Duke of Sussex’s autobiography is rocking bookshops in England. He talks about his unhappy childhood, his frustration and anger at how he thinks he was treated, and the trauma of his mother’s death

LONDON – The Times speaks of a devastating book. The Independent of the worst royal crisis in 30 years, the Express accuses Harry of selling his soul, according to the Telegraph, above a photo of Charles and his wife, the king and queen consort, with the caption “Please don’t marry Camilla”. The day after the first revelations about the Duke of Sussex’s autobiography, the country is wondering: what does the book mean for the Windsors? Every unhappy family, as Tolstoy wrote, does it in its own way.

The Windsors are in bookstores in profound and intricate ways on Tuesday 10th, according to Il Minore. Just like in the days of Andrew Morton’s book about Diana, her suicide attempt and the betrayal of Charles, the kingdom is faced with a version of the Windsors it could never have imagined. It’s one thing to read what the tabloids are writing, another what the king’s son says. Is it possible that Camilla took advantage of Prince Harry and filtered information about him to improve his image? Is it possible that William not only attacked Harry but also his wife Meghan (pointing his finger verbally at her?) Is it possible that Charles banned Harry from bringing Meghan to the Queen’s bedside?

a work in which Harry vents the pain of an unhappy childhood, the frustration and anger at how he thinks he is being treated by the rest of the family, and the trauma of his mother’s death. Harry often dreams of her, claiming to have received a posthumous message from her.

Among the criticisms of the autobiography, those from the military environment are those that may hurt Harry the most. In the book, the prince reveals that he killed 25 Taliban in Afghanistan. These are not subjects that should be spoken freely, Colonel Richard Kemp explained, after which the prince’s words belittle his brave and fine performance on duty.
Ben McBean, a veteran who lost an arm and a leg in action and whom Harry has repeatedly referred to as a hero, was clear: “Shut up Harry,” he wrote on Twitter.

With television interviews airing on Sunday, it seems inevitable that the book and the Windsors’ woes will continue to be discussed for several days to come as a family reconciliation grows increasingly unlikely. In May, Charles is crowned king and Camilla queen. Harry says he hasn’t decided yet whether to appear at the ceremony, he who along with his brother William appear to have begged their father not to remarry.
