Prince Louis is definitely the new star of the British royal family. At 4 years old, the youngest son of Prince William and Kate Middleton is a little rascal who amuses the audience with his jokes at each of his official appearances. The youngest of the Cambridges was clowned at Queen Elizabeth II’s Jubilee celebrations last June. Grimaces, snubs, a hand over his mother’s mouth to silence her…: the little boy spun freely.

So naturally all eyes were on Louis on this Sunday 25th December during the traditional Windsor Christmas Mass in Sandrigham. This is the first time the little prince is attending the event. As tradition dictates, he attended church alongside Prince William and Kate Middleton, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, but also King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla. This march is an opportunity for members of the royal family to meet the Brits who have come to greet them. And Prince Louis once again stole the show from the rest of the clan.

A royal gesture that melted the internet

The son of the Prince and Princess of Wales was absolutely gorgeous in a blue coat of the same model as Princess Charlotte’s. Since kids his age aren’t allowed to wear pants, he wore burgundy Bermuda shorts underneath, the same color as his sister’s coat (obviously the Cambridges love to coordinate their outfits!). During this meeting, Prince Louis also noticed behavior for him that was just as adorable. We’ve seen him walk with sure steps, wave to the crowd, chat to passers-by and take their presents, or tug on his mother’s arm to make her go faster when he’s had enough.

But one moment was cuter than the others and melted the web. In videos posted to Twitter, Prince Louis can be seen lingering with the audience as his family continues to move forward. A little boy then gives her a Paddington Bear and a bouquet of flowers. Realizing that his mother, father, brother and sister are already far away, Louis suddenly runs to catch up with them, his arm outstretched and yells “Charlotte”. Then, after joining his family, the little prince presents the flowers to his sister. A gesture so spontaneous and adorable that it elicited a general emotional “Oh” from the crowd. This reaction did not surprise the little boy and proved that his generosity was natural and usual.

The complicity between Kate and William’s three children is beautiful to behold.
