Prince William was seen encouraging his wife Kate Middleton to wrap up their conversation with now Jordanian Princess Rajwa Al Saif during the royal wedding.

The Prince and Princess of Wales attended the wedding of King Abdullah’s eldest son, Crown Prince Al Hussein, and Saudi Arabian architect Rajwa Al Saif on June 1. The wedding took place at the Zahran Palace in Amman, Jordan and was accompanied by a free concert to celebrate.

William and Kate were among the guests who officially congratulated the newlyweds after the ceremony. In a video shared by The Chron of the two couples, Kate could be seen chatting to the Crown Prince while William spoke to Princess Rajwa.

After William finished his conversation, his wife followed suit and exchanged a few hugs and kisses with Rajwa. Speaking to Rajwa, Kate appeared to be praising her wedding dress.

Though he was still standing to the side, William then joined in the conversation when he was heard saying “hack hack” quietly to his wife. In the video, he also told her to “go ahead” and waved his hand in a circular motion, seemingly encouraging her to wrap up the conversation.

From there, William waited and looked at his wife for a brief moment before finishing her conversation with the bride. She joined her husband while the bride and groom greeted and spoke to the other waiting guests.

For the wedding, Kate wore a long-sleeved pink maxi dress paired with silver statement earrings, while her spouse opted for a navy suit and light blue tie.

The British royals’ attendance at the wedding ultimately came as a surprise to many, as their arrival was confirmed by Jordanian state media just hours before the ceremony. However, there is some connection between William and Crown Prince Hussein as they are both graduates of Britain’s Royal Military Academy of Sandhurst.

The two men also spent some time together in 2018 when William visited Jordan. The Crown Prince and his friend not only accompanied the Prince of Wales on a number of official visits captured watching the England v Panama 2018 World Cup match at Beit Al Urdun Palace.

Jordan also has a special connection to William and Kate’s family, as they took their three children – Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five – on vacation there in 2021, when they were three years old as a child.

In addition to William and Kate, First Lady Jill Biden, her daughter Ashley Biden and US Climate Commissioner John Kerry were also present at the June 1 royal wedding. Many European royalty who attended the coronation of King Charles III last month. Those present also attended the wedding, including King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, as well as Denmark’s Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary.
