Prince William rowed with his father and stepmother after he accused them of “planting” stories about himself and his family in the media, Harry claims.
The prince says he took a call from his brother in April 2019, who was “seething with anger”.
‘Something had happened between him and Pa and Camilla. I couldn’t get the whole story, he was talking too fast and was way too upset,” Harry wrote in his memoir Spare.
‘I understand that Pa and Camilla’s people have put a story or two about him and Kate and the kids on the internet and he wouldn’t take it anymore.
‘Give Pa and Camilla an inch, he said, and they’ll go a mile. That’s the last time they did that to me.
‘I got it. They did the same to me and Meg.’

Harry accuses a “gung-ho” member of his father’s press office of “peddling” false or unflattering stories as part of a “campaign” to get good publicity for the now King and Queen Consort
The Duke does not specify which story William was allegedly talking about.
But Harry accuses a “gung-ho” member of his father’s press office of “peddling” fake or unflattering stories as part of a “campaign” to get good press for the now King and Queen consort at the expense of other family members.
He also accused the same person, whom he does not name but describes as a woman, that he, Harry, went on a hunting trip to Germany in 2017 that “made me a seventeenth-century big ass”. Baron who craved blood in trophies.
In fact – he says – he “worked with German farmers to cull wild boar and save their crops”.
Harry goes so far as to claim that his German history was “swapped” to have “better access” to his father and to suppress stories about a member of Camilla’s family.
He even claims he has “proof” from reporters in “actual newsrooms” that he and his brother were sold out.

The Duke does not specify which story William was allegedly so upset about
However, like so many of Harry’s claims, much is confused and incorrect.
For example, Charles’ PR team was headed by one man in both 2019 and 2017.
And Harry’s hunting trip only leaked because Germany’s biggest newspaper was tipped off by locals that Harry and his friends had arrived in the country on a private jet.
They were also able to find out what estate they were on because he had previously attended the wedding of the landowner, nicknamed The Boar Terminator, and considered him a good friend.
Harry does not name the employee he blames, but describes a showdown he and William had previously had with their father over this person.
Charles reportedly angrily rebuffed her claims and denied his staff would ever intentionally leak stories.
Harry said he was grateful however that William called him to talk about his struggles given the state of their relationship in 2019 and took the opportunity to highlight his and Meghan’s concerns about the institution.
He said his brother snapped back: “I have different issues with you two!”
“The reason he and Meghan left was not because they were evicted, as they claim, or fled dramatically for their lives,” a royal source said
Harry claims to have had his brother on speakerphone as he was standing in the garden of Frogmore Cottage at the time, but quickly switched back to his phone when he noticed Meghan approaching him.
But he says his wife still heard his brother screaming and went back inside “holding her stomach” – the incident happened just before she gave birth to teary-eyed son Archie.
