It wouldn’t be a royal event if King Charles’ grandchildren didn’t steal the show.

Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, charmed viewers with plenty of sweet moments at King Charles III’s coronation – but the fun didn’t stop there.

During Sunday’s coronation concert, Prince William, 40, decided to join in the antics and had fun waving his Union Jack flag in the faces of his two eldest children.

The Prince of Wales got a funny face and a laugh from George – who is now second in line to the throne – while Charlotte seemed less than thrilled with her dad’s shenanigans.

However, in a sweet moment from the only daughter of Prince William and Princess Kate, 41, Charlotte looked smitten as her father later took to the stage to give a speech.

“Look! There’s dad,” the youngster said excitedly, according to lip reader Jacqui Press.

Charlotte even reached out to George to point out her father on stage.

“Aww Charlotte is so excited to see her daddy on stage! She’s like, ‘Look George!’ George is like ‘whatevs’,” one viewer observed.

The Prince and Princess of Wales attended the concert at Windsor Castle with their two eldest children alongside other members of the royal family including King Charles and Queen Camilla, as well as Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie and Prince Edward.

However, little Louis did not perform, and many fans were disappointed by his absence from the event.

The concert was well past the boy’s bedtime, and his parents decided to leave him at home.

“But where is Prince Louis? We turned it on!” one angry fan called.

“Where’s little Prince Louis? Oh, it’s no fun without him :-(“, another cried.

Prince Louis wasn’t the only one who was put to bed before the concert.

Princess Beatrice’s daughter Sienna, 1, and Princess Eugenie’s son August, 2, did not attend and Zara and Mike Tindall’s children Mia, 9, Lena, 4, and Lucas, 2, were present at the Event not seen.

Katy Perry and Lionel Richie headlined Sunday night’s coronation concert, which also featured a number of artists including Andrea Bocelli, Sir Bryn Terfel, Freya Ridings and Alexis Ffrench.

Tom Cruise also made a surprise cameo at the concert, which was attended by 20,000 people, in a pre-recorded message to the king.

“Pilot to pilot, Your Majesty, you can always be my wingman,” Cruise said from the cockpit of his P-51 aircraft.
