They may be the Prince and Princess of Wales, but William and Kate are just parents too – and The Mirror reports that the couple recently tried to mingle on an outing with children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, when she visited the Lapland UK Christmas theme park along with her nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo last week.
Lapland UK is a theme park that tells “the story of Santa Claus with reindeer, a toy factory, a magical forest and shops,” reports the outlet. “It’s a popular place for families that has been around for 15 years.”
Hello reports that “the royal children appeared to be having fun as Charlotte and George carried toys featuring their very own Lepi the snow leopard.” The family of five attempted to blend in with the crowd, with Kate wearing black clothing – including a turtleneck and a bobble hat – and William in blue jeans and a khaki cap. William, reports The Mirror, was also “carrying a toy under his arm that probably belonged to Prince Louis”.
Their visit to the park came just as they were traveling to Sandringham with the Royal Family for Christmas – including taking part in the traditional Christmas morning walk to the Church of St Mary Magdalene in the grounds of the estate.
But Lapland also played a part in the family’s vacation schedule, and the park celebrated its 15th anniversary on Facebook by writing: “Since 2007, it’s humbling to discover that so many parents (big folk!) have loved this fleeting, precious… Experience the same thoughtful time in a child’s life, and there couldn’t be a nicer way of helping families create precious memories together. We hope that all who visit us, big and small, have treasured memories of this time in their lives, and we remain committed to protecting and celebrating the innocence of childhood faith.”
