“The Crown” star Ed McVey gushed about his “organic” energy with co-star Meg Bellamy – ahead of the final season airing on Wednesday.
The 21-year-old actor, who plays Prince William in the Netflix series, said he loved filming with 20-year-old Kate Middleton actress Meg.
He also told Cosmopolitan UK how, when preparing for the role, he used a movement trainer to help him embody his role as the king.
The star kindly said of Meg: “The casting team saw an energy between us that was very organic and easy.”
“When we were filming the university scenes in St Andrews we jumped into the North Sea with the rest of the cast and it was one of those very special moments. ‘It was freezing!’

On his preparation for the role of Prince William, he added: “He was documented from birth, so I was able to watch him grow up and really study him.”
“He has a very particular voice – the 2000s Eton thing where people are trying to regulate their money.”
“I worked with a movement coach so I could embody his physicality and try to connect it to his psychology – how he feels in his mind influences how he behaves in his body, especially given what he is doing to it has gone through time.”

In October, a first look at images from season six revealed how the Netflix series will recreate some of history’s standout royal moments.
And according to snaps released by the streaming giant, fans will see some historic moments recreated on screen – including Princess Diana’s final days before she died in a car crash in Paris in August 1997.
A statement from the streaming giant revealed that the season will cover the period surrounding the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, as well as the meeting of Prince William and Kate Middleton in the early 2000s.
It says: “A relationship blossoms between Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed before a fateful car ride has devastating consequences.”

“Prince William is trying to reintegrate into life at Eton following the death of his mother, as the monarchy must ride the wave of public opinion.”
“As she approaches her Golden Jubilee, the Queen reflects on the future of the monarchy, with the wedding of Charles and Camilla and the beginnings of a new royal fairytale in William and Kate.”
Among the iconic royal moments recreated in season six is Prince Harry and Prince William’s summer trip to Balmoral in August 1997, where they received news of their mother’s death.
The sixth season of the series picks up where the fifth season left off: Prince Charles and Diana, Princess of Wales, are spending the summer apart for the first time as a now-divorced couple.
The two parents are spending two very different holidays with their sons Prince William and Prince Harry.
According to executive producer Suzanne Mackie: “We are still at the very beginning of the story of Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed.”
“From the second she steps on the boat and [you begin to see] Some of these iconic images of her on the yacht immediately transport you to the whirlwind that created the press speculation surrounding this romance.”
Netflix recently released a first trailer for the upcoming series, with Imelda Staunton returning as Queen Elizabeth.
It also featured snippets of footage from former Queen actresses Claire Foy and Olivia Colman as a nod to the series’ decades-long journey.
“The crown is a symbol of perseverance.” “It’s something you are, not what you do,” Foy said as footage of her in character appeared on television to begin the trailer.
She first took on the role of the monarch in the first and second seasons of The Crown, playing the young Queen Elizabeth.
“A part of our natural self is always lost.” We have all made sacrifices. It’s not a choice. “It’s a duty,” Colman then repeated.
The video featured a framed photo of her as the ruler she played in seasons three and four
The dramatic clip then shows Staunton in costume, quietly holding her hands before stepping onto a Buckingham Palace-style balcony to greet a cheering crowd.
“But what about the life I put aside? I wouldn’t – I put it aside?’ Then Staunton’s voice sounded questioning.
Previously, it was assumed that the drama would run for five seasons, but then creator Peter Morgan decided to go back to his original plan of having six episodes of the series.

Final Season: The final installment of the royal drama will air in two parts, with the first half of the series arriving on Netflix on November 16 and the second on December 14
He told Deadline: “When we started discussing the storylines for Series 5, it quickly became clear that in order to do justice to the richness and complexity of the story, we should go back to the original plan and do six seasons.”
“To be clear, Series 6 will not bring us closer to the present, but will simply allow us to cover the same time period in more detail.”
The final part of the royal drama will be broadcast in two parts: the first half of the series will appear on Netflix on November 16th with four episodes and the second half with the final six episodes on December 14th.
