The Prince and Princess of Wales’ two youngest children, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, stole the hearts of royal fans today as they shared smiles en route to Westminster Abbey from Buckingham Palace for the coronation – and during the opening moments of the historic holding hands in worship.
Princess Charlotte, who turned eight this week, was seated alongside her little brother Prince Louis in a royal car with the Prince and Princess of Wales after leaving the palace, and a short time later in the front row of the Abbey.
The siblings arrived without their older brother Prince George, aged nine, who was a Page of Honor to his grandfather. The Prince and Princess of Wales’ two youngest children behaved impeccably during the service, with Charlotte offering a reassuring presence to her younger brother, who could not help yawning during the holy service.
The young princess wore an Alexander McQueen dress and cape of ivory silk crepe with ivory stitch embroidery of rose, thistle, daffodil and shamrock motifs to symbolize the four nations.
She also wore a Jess Collett x Alexander McQueen headdress made of silver bullion, crystal and silver thread, similar to the headdress worn by the Princess of Wales for the occasion.

All eyes will be on Louis; Last year, Louis starred at his great-grandmother’s platinum anniversary celebrations, entertaining crowds with his antics on the balcony of Buckingham Palace and in the audience at the anniversary competition.
His parents are aware of the responsibility on his young shoulders and it is believed Prince Louis will not be attending tomorrow’s Windsor concert.
