A passenger on board a private plane was killed on Friday when the plane experienced severe turbulence.
The aircraft was carrying five people, two crew members and three passengers, one of whom died.
The business jet, a Bombardier Challenger 300, had departed from Keene, New Hampshire and was attempting to reach Leesburg, Virginia, but was forced to land at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut.
The National Transportation Safety Board has launched an investigation to shed light on the tragedy. The cockpit voice and data recorders were confiscated.
The agency said a preliminary report would be available in two to three weeks.
A Federal Aviation Administration database showed that the plane belonged to Conexon, a Kansas City, Mo.-based company that provides fiber optic internet to rural areas.
The company declined to comment on Saturday.
