How much does the Masters winner get?
Prize money for the 2022 edition of the Masters has been announced. Last year there was a prize fund totaling $11,500,000. This year’s grand total is $15 million.
Due to the way golf tournaments work, there are sums that must be split between multiple participants in the final ranking when specific courses are at stake – which is often the case.
However, the winner will take home an incredible multi-million dollar prize after Hideki Matsuyama earned just over $2 million for his 2021 win. The winning prize this year is $2.7 million (£2 million).
How much prize money does the runner-up win at The Masters?
The runner-up gets $1.6 million. $1.02 million for solo third.
US-American Will Zatoris has $1.2 million left for his second place finish in 2021.
Xander Schauffele and Jordan Spieth both earned $667,000 for third-place finishes last year, while Marc Leishman and Jon Rahm walked away with $437,000 for fourth-place finishes together.
England’s Justin Rose finished seventh in 2021 earning $385,250, while Corey Conners and Patrick Reed both earned $345,000 for finishing eighth together.
Tony Finau and Cameron Smith finished tenth in 2021 and both walked away with $299,000 in prize money.
