Myriam Zollner, a graduate of the Master’s program Regional Sustainable Development and Destination, won the “Young Researcher Award” for the best master’s thesis at the 2023 annual meeting of the “Tourism Research Working Group of the German Geographical Society (DGfG) eV ” in Saarbrücken (D) in June.

His master’s thesis on the topic “Forecasting models for the regional economic effects of tourism in Germany based on a meta-analysis” deals with the extent to which it is possible to derive the effects of regional economic tourism in Germany through a meta-analysis and regional economic forecasting models tailored to individual types of destinations have been created. The work was supervised by Marius Mayer.
