Pro-Palestinian jokes: Dave Chappelle admirers leave the room

American comedian Dave Chappelle criticized the United States for supporting Israel’s “war crimes” against the Palestinians during a show in Boston on Thursday, prompting some audience members to leave the venue.

The controversial comedian made the comments during a show at TD Garden on Thursday, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The comedian condemned the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, which has since claimed more than 1,400 Israeli lives.

Mr. Chappelle then denounced Israel’s “war crimes” in Gaza, which did not sit well with some in the audience.

He then complained that some people had lost their jobs because they supported the Palestinians.

An audience member then asked the comedian to “shut up,” which immediately caused a stir in the venue.

Mr. Chappelle instead criticized the Israeli government’s decision to cut off supplies of food, water and electricity to Gaza.

He also accused Israel of killing innocent civilians and committing war crimes, according to the Journal.

Spectators applauded and shouted “Liberate Palestine!”, while others responded: “And Hamas?!”

After this turbulent moment, some spectators left the room.
