Producers Guild Awards Announces Film and Television Nominations

Film and TV nominations for the 2024 Producers Guild Awards

Warner Bros.; Universal; PGA

The Producers Guild has chosen the film and television nominees for its 35th annual PGA Awards, with ten awards season favorites competing in the featured film category.

The 2023 juggernaut duo Barbie and Oppenheimer will compete against American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, The Holdovers, Killers of the Flower Moon, Maestro, Past Lives, Poor Things and The Zone of Interest for the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding producer of motion pictures. The full list of today's nominees can be found below.

The Darryl F. Zanuck Award has long been considered a strong predictor of the Oscar for Best Picture, with 15 of the last 20 films triumphing at the Academy Awards. This trend followed last year when the PGA awarded Everything Everywhere All at Once, which won the Oscar two weeks later.

The guild's animated feature awards include “The Boy and the Heron,” “Elemental,” “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.” to select.

In the episodic TV drama category, there will be a race between “The Crown,” “The Diplomat,” “The Last of Us,” “The Morning Show” and “Succession.” Barry, The Bear, Jury Duty, Only Murders in the Building and Ted Lasso are vying for the television award for episodic comedy. The anthology or limited series includes All the Light We Cannot See, Beef, Daisy Jones and the Six, Fargo and Lessons in Chemistry.

The PGA announced its documentary nominees and its sports, children's and short film nominees last month.
