HELSINKI, 11th July (RHC) – Protests and demonstrations are planned for next Thursday during the visit of US President Joe Biden, public broadcaster YLE reported.
Two incidents were reported to security forces in the Finnish capital on Tuesday morning, including a speech against US policy in general, the source said.
The other demonstration will express opposition to the stationing of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) bases in the country.
Faced with this looming scenario, the police announced significant restrictions on vehicular traffic in the center of this capital, as well as possible temporary road closures.
Biden began a tour of Europe last Sunday, which also took him through the United Kingdom and Lithuania, where a NATO summit is currently taking place. (Source:PL)
