PSUV predicts disaster in announced October opposition elections

In his traditional press conference on Monday, the political leader quoted Colombian writer Gabriel García Márquez in his book Chronicle of a Death Foretold, stating that this election will be a “chronicle of the predicted catastrophe” and the expected struggles between the candidates.

The National Assembly (Parliament), also a deputy, stated that a small group representing the minority sector of the opposition registered in these elections and predicted that “they will do worse” than they arrived in these primaries, which were held by division and personal ambitions.

“You will not get away scot-free,” he insisted.

Commenting on the demonstrations To his candidatures, Cabello expressed that they were all “very pathetic”, the mobilization was bad and they were very bad because it hadn’t rained, he said.

He pointed out that the speeches of the opposition leaders only reveal the differences and struggles between them and ironically that when they talk about the upper class and the poor among themselves, it is a “class struggle in the opposition”.

The first vice-president of the PSUV commented: “If they don’t stop attacking each other at this stage before the election, what will it be like once they have identified the candidate who will represent them in the 2024 election campaign?”

Regarding the October votes, in which the opposition decided not to count on the logistics of the National Electoral Council, Cabello foresaw altercations between the witnesses when the votes were counted, assuring that it was a lie that they sent the ballot papers would count.

They “will set fire to whatever is left,” he assured.

Cabello declared that the Bolivarian Revolution is the greatest guarantee of calm and peace in Venezuela, noting that those in doubt see the opposition’s disaster.

From the Chavismo (followers of Hugo Chávez) we are pushing for the unity of our country, for sovereignty and independence, he stressed.

A total of 14 opponents have registered with the National Pre-election Commission for October’s internal elections, at least four of whom are barred from participating in a popular election process.
