Since December, La Buvette Pompette has been in the premises on rue Saint-Zotique, where the Beaufort Bistro used to be, which has moved to near the Plaza Saint-Hubert.

It fully lives up to its vocation as a “neighborhood”. It’s without a reservation, so we unexpectedly stop by for an aperitif or end the evening. We love the menu, which features wines that are as adventurous as they are honest, and frequently changing wines – one of the eight co-owners (!) owns the wine agency Ward & Associés – but also the Iberian menu, a homage to the Spanish roots of another co-owner. , Federico Rivas (At Baptiste).
We devour the croquetas of the moment or a portobello divinely served between the manchego and a pea sauce with croutons, arugula and caramelized onions. “It’s unpretentious,” says one of the co-owners, Ariane Paradis, but we have to praise the tasty touches of the small, very affordable dishes on the menu.
“There’s really a good response from the neighborhood,” says the latter. It’s often full and we have regular customers. There’s the spirit of a small, warm place with the atmosphere we wanted to reproduce. »
It should be noted that the Buvette Pompette is open daily, the kitchen closes at 1 a.m. and that Sunday brunch with cocktails, alcoholic coffees or even a non-alcoholic spritz has recently been served there. OK !
