(ANSA) — ROME, DECEMBER 29 — Russia’s latest-generation nuclear-powered missile carriers are unique in the world, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a video link at the commissioning ceremony of three new Russian Navy ships, including Generalissimo Suvorov’s nuclear-powered submarine .
“The latest nuclear-powered missile carriers designed and built here have many features that are unique in the world,” Putin said, commenting on the contribution of the Rubin Design Bureau and the Sevmash shipyards to building the country’s nuclear submarines.
“We will increase the pace and volume of building ships of different designs, equip them with the most modern weapons, conduct operational and combat training of sailors, taking into account the experience gained, including during a special military operation,” he added to the war in Of Ukraine.
According to TASS, another nuclear submarine, the Alexander III, was launched today and is due to undergo some tests starting in June. (HAND).
