According to the President, the government dedicates many resources to national defense without prejudice to other areas. “Prosecutors should monitor the modernization of defense industry enterprises, including building capabilities to produce additional weapons,” Putin said. “A lot of effort is put into this. We urgently need it now and it will come in handy in the future.”
In the speech, the president guaranteed adequate supplies for what he calls a “military special operation” a euphemism for the allout invasion of Ukraine.
Putin also said that Russia is in the phase of positive changes that would strengthen the country’s sovereignty and independence and create conditions for its development. “We are with you at the stage of positive and sweeping changes aimed at strengthening Russia’s future sovereignty and independence and creating conditions for its confident development,” he said.
