Putin told Xi that he personally and many Chinese friends know that special attention will be paid to the development of Sino-China relations.
Putin later noted that China had made tremendous strides in its development in recent years, and this aroused real interest and even a little envy of him around the world.
China has created a very effective system for developing its economy and strengthening the state. It’s much more efficient than in many other countries, that’s an obvious fact,” the Russian president said.
For his part, Xi Jinping said Russia has made significant progress under Putin’s leadership.
“Under Mr. President’s firm leadership, Russia’s development and prosperity have progressed rapidly,” the Chinese president said, expressing his belief that Putin will continue to enjoy the support of the Russian people.
China attaches great importance to its ties with Russia because they have historical logic, the Chinese president said during his meeting with his counterpart on Monday.
