Range and Range of Weapons
The range of the missile is estimated at 135 to 270 nmi (250 to 500 km) at low altitude and up to 400 nmi (740 km) in a semi-ballistic trajectory. The average range is about 400-450 km. The test with the Zircon rockets
On May 28, 2022, the flagship Gorshkov fired a 3M22 Zircon missile in the Barents Sea at a target in the White Sea. On June 4, she was back in the Barents Sea conducting helicopter operations. The frigate took part in the July 31 Russian Navy Day parade in St. Petersburg. On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Admiral Gorshkov will be the first ship to be armed with Zircon missiles. She sailed along the Norwegian coast on December 9, 2022 and returned to Severomorsk on December 11. In late 2022 it was preparing to return to service in early January 2023 armed with Zircon hypersonic missiles.
