Pyongyang at the UN: “Korea is on the brink of nuclear war”

North Korea has told the United Nations that the peninsula is “on the brink of nuclear war,” particularly because of U.S. “reckless actions.” “The military situation on the Korean peninsula and its surrounding areas is on the verge of nuclear war,” Pyongyang’s ambassador to the United Nations, Kim Song, warned in a speech to the U.N. China said an agreement had been reached with Japan and South Korea to hold a trilateral summit “as soon as possible.” This was reported by Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin.
