Quebec police are investigating another murder, the second in less than three days on their territory. One person succumbed to his injuries while another fought for his life.
The tragedy occurred early at night in a residential building on Rue Geneviève-Lamarre in the Maizerets district.
When the authorities were called to intervene at this address for reasons that are still unclear, they discovered two victims who showed signs of violence.

“The death of one of the victims was confirmed at the scene, while the other victim’s injuries still raise fears for his life,” said Marie-Pier Rivard, spokesperson for the Quebec City Police Department (SPVQ).
This is the sixth murder in the Old Capital area since the beginning of the year and the second in less than three days.

The police’s major crime unit took over the case. Technicians from the Forensic Identification Unit went to the scene to analyze the crime scene and better understand the circumstances of the event.
A command post was also stationed on site. The SPVQ is asking anyone with information about this murder to contact 911.
