After spending the last few years dancing alongside Cher, Mariah Carey, RuPaul and Lil Nas trilogyexpected Friday at the Bell Center in Montreal.
“I couldn’t wait to get back to Montreal, it’s been so long. Going on stage in my city and knowing that I have my family and my friends in the room is definitely a special, indescribable feeling,” says Daniel Dory by phone from Toronto, where the Trilogy Tour is heading to two dates this week stops.
This tour kicked off last weekend in Washington and brings together three Latin superstars in a single concert: Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull follow each other on stage night after night for more than three hours. A total of around forty titles are performed, including Daniel Dory on Livin’ la Vida Loca, She Bangs, Shake Your Bon-Bon and others The Cup of Life.
“We have new choreography, new costumes, the musical arrangements have been redesigned… It’s really a big show. And since each singer has between 50 and 60 minutes, it happens quickly and is very intense. It moves a lot, it stays in shape,” says Daniel Dory with a laugh.
Complicity again
The Trilogy Tour is actually the dancer’s fifth contract alongside Ricky Martin: Over the last decade, Daniel Dory has toured the world alongside the Latin singer and also appeared in the music video for the song Fiebre, released in 2018. An obvious complicity Therefore, a relationship has developed between the two men over the years.
“Ricky and his team have become like a second family to me. He knows my mother, he is a man who is very down to earth and loyal to work with. He has given me a lot of advice in my life and career, I value him enormously as an artist and as a person,” explains the 38-year-old dancer.

For now, the Trilogy tour will crisscross North America until December 11th. Afterward? Further dates have been mentioned for 2024, but nothing has been confirmed yet. So Daniel Dory can enjoy the holidays with his family right here in Montreal.
Paris evenings
He then travels to Paris, where he regularly organizes La Fierce evenings at the Palais de Tokyo. Entirely conceived and produced by the Quebecer and his partner Olivier Croft, these events present icons of the French and international drag scene, led by Nicky Doll.
Daniel Dory makes no secret of his desire to bring these evenings to the metropolis in the more or less near future.
“Our goal is to raise the standards of drag queen shows with large-scale productions. I would really like to bring this concept here and use it to highlight artists from France, but also Canadian and Quebec queens,” he admits.
