Quebec detention center: Three people arrested for attempted drone delivery –

Three people were arrested for attempting to deliver goods by drone to the Quebec detention center.

On Sunday around 8 p.m., police officers at the Northeast Highway Services Center were notified that a drone had flown over the Quebec detention center.

The Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) was notified of the situation and arrested three suspects who were in a rented vehicle.

The latter were immediately transferred to the headquarters of the Sûreté du Québec.

The search of the vehicle and searches associated with the arrests resulted in the seizure of:

  • a drone
  • approx. 120 g of cannabis and 165 g of cannabis resin
  • about sixty methamphetamine tablets
  • three cell phones and a dozen SIM cards
  • about $700 in cash
  • a knife

Vincent Massé, 24, of Boisbriand, Nicolas Ciarlo, 32, of Rawdon, and Kelly Guérard, 26, of Saint-Jacques, appeared on charges including burglary, mischief, drug dealing and failure to comply with conditions. In addition, arrest warrants were executed.
