Hundreds of properties in Quebec change hands every day, most of them without us knowing the exact details. That was before we became interested… Here are the latest transactions that caught our attention.
A residence in Montreal’s Notre-Dame-de-Grâce (NDG) neighborhood has just found a buyer for $1,815,000.
Built in 1930 and renovated several times since then, this residence is located at 4199 Kensington Avenue and features an office, five bedrooms, four bathrooms and a powder room, a finished basement and a lot with a large 369 square foot terrace.

Until then, it belonged to Derick Brassard, a 36-year-old hockey player from Quebec whose National Hockey League (NHL) career is likely over but who has still not officially announced his retirement. Between 2007 and 2023, the center wore the colors of nine NHL teams, namely the Ottawa Senators, the Edmonton Oilers, the Philadelphia Flyers, the Arizona Coyotes, the New York Islanders, the Colorado Avalanche, the Florida Panthers, the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Columbus Blue Jackets.

These former Drummondville Voltigeurs, originally from Outaouais, purchased this home in December 2020 from Entreprises Lönn Inc, owned by Francois Bouchard, Olivier Robiot and Marie Bernadette Mosser, for $1.7 million.
The construction company had recently become the owner of this property in July 2019 following a $700,000 transaction with the estate of artist, theater woman and career choreographer Cynthia Hendrickson Peterson.
At last appraisal, this residence was assigned a value of $1,568,600. This was an increase of $440,100, or 39%, from the previous estimate of $1,128,500.
In 2023, municipal taxes on this property were $9,178. For buyers, a $35,433 transfer tax payable to the City of Montreal will be added to the purchase price.
