(Quebec) Quebec Finance Minister Eric Girard announced Thursday morning that he will deliver his economic update on November 7th.

In a press briefing at the National Assembly, Mr Girard said he had listened to people’s concerns on housing, homelessness and climate change adaptation.
He declined to comment on the exact measures he plans to take.
The government has stressed the importance of reaching an agreement with the federal government on housing by Friday next week. Quebec is ready to allocate the sum of 900 million for social housing.
“If we do not have the 900 million from the federal government, the resources in Quebec are limited, so the program that we will announce on November 7th would be less important,” argued Prime Minister François Legault at the time upon his arrival. Questions.
He criticized the federal government for its “stubborn insistence on all possible requirements”.
Minister Girard says he has directed his requests to Federal Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland.
