“Today’s news only affects the United States. We want to expand this shopping experience on a global scale,” Angie Quennell confirmed in the same breath in response to a question from the Journal.

“However, we are currently unable to share any further information regarding the date,” she continued.

Hyundai the first

Starting next year, Americans will be able to buy a car on Amazon. You will then need to collect it from your local dealer.

Hyundai will be the first manufacturer to offer its vehicles on the site in the United States, but it may be manufacturers other than itself that are offering them for sale in Quebec, as Hyundai has indicated to the Journal that it has “no plan for Canada” for now.

“We continue to expand our portfolio, expand our sales network, transition to electrification and realize the future of smart mobility,” Hyundai CEO Jaehoon (Jay) Chang said in a statement.
