Fans here, who believe in the expertise of the Quebecers, must have expressed their delight at some of the province’s good performances last weekend in the National Hockey League (NHL).

Quebec can count on solid flag bearers through the Bettman circuit and some have helped their respective teams with their touches around enemy nets. Here are the ones that caught our attention.
Patrice Bergeron, Boston Bruins
The Bruins captain remains like fine wine, scoring his 24th goal of the season in Saturday’s 3-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings. The triumph secured Boston a place in the next Stanley Cup playoffs. If the team scores 105 points overall, it’s largely thanks to Patrice Bergeron and his 60.21% efficiency rate in the faceoff circle.
Jonathan Huberdeau, Calgary Flames
Desperate for points to get back into the playoffs, the Calgary Flames took a step in the right direction with Sunday’s 5-1 win over the Ottawa Senators. Jonathan Huberdeau disappointingly had a good night in 2022-23 due to a goal and an assist. The former Florida Panthers, who were ruled out in his previous two games, have 44 points so far, a far cry from his 115 total last year.
Jonathan Marchessault, Vegas Golden Knights
The Vegas Golden Knights, at the top of the Pacific Division, added two wins by beating the Carolina Hurricanes 4-0 on Saturday and the St. Louis Blues 5-3 the next day. Jonathan Marchessault distinguished himself by scoring in every confrontation to surpass 20 goals for the sixth time in his career. This season he ranks third in his team in terms of number of goals.
Kristopher Letang, Pittsburgh Penguins
The Penguins had a date with the Montreal Canadiens in Pittsburgh on Tuesday and greatly improved their chances of qualifying by notching wins at home against the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday and the New York Rangers on Sunday. Also, Kristopher Letang decided the debate in that 3-2 overtime triumph by beating Jaroslav Halak. The Quebecer played more than 28 minutes against the Blueshirts.
Anthony Mantha, Washington Capitals
The Washington Capitals won a very important game on Saturday at the expense of the New York Islanders, the side they are hoping to catch in order to sneak into the qualifying club bracket. Anthony Mantha seized the opportunity to score and assist in the 5-1 win despite playing under 14 minutes. He picked an excellent moment to end a streak of 12 pointless games that began after the January 24 game. The former Wings has accumulated 26 points this year.
