Quebecor on Wednesday announced it has paid $300,000 to the Le Pilier Foundation, which helps adults with multiple disabilities, continuing a longstanding association with the organization.
In particular, the sum allows the beautification of the Maison Quebecor, where nine adults with multiple disabilities, with mental and/or physical disabilities, live in Laval. The purchase of a paratransit van and the organization of leisure activities and excursions are also made possible thanks to this donation.
“La Maison Quebecor makes a tangible and positive difference in the lives of its residents. In addition to feeding and housing people with a physical or mental disability, the organization promotes their autonomy, progressively integrates them into their community and helps them develop their self-confidence,” said Quebecor President and CEO Pierre Karl Péladeau. via press release.
Quebecor has been contributing to the Le Pilier Foundation cause since 2005, when an initial donation allowed the expansion of what would become Maison Quebecor from 2007.
