Queen Elizabeth banned Harry and Meghan from taking pictures of

Gatekeeper Queen. Queen Elizabeth has banned the photographing of Lilibet. The British monarch met her great-granddaughter during her platinum anniversary. However, she bans joint photos of her and her namesake.

A source told The Sun on June 7, 2022 that Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have been denied photos from the long-awaited meeting. “Harry and Meghan wanted their photographer to capture the moment Lilibet met the Queen. But they were told no chance. It was a private family reunion.” The Queen met Lilibet during a private lunch after The Trooping of Color on 3 June 2022. This was Lilibet’s first visit to the UK after her parents stepped down from royal duties and moved to California permanently in 2020 were. The Queen has previously met Lilibet virtually and was keen to meet her after she was diagnosed with COVID-19 in early 2022.

Lilibet also celebrated her first birthday at her parents’ UK residence of Frogmore Cottage on 4 June 2022. Prince Harry’s father Prince Charles, his brother Prince William and his wife Kate did not attend the birthday party due to previous commitments. On the plus side, Charles gave Lilibet a special swing set that was similar to a swing set he gave to William and Kate.

Harry and Meghan were also banned from appearing on the balcony at the traditional Trooping the Color. Buckingham Palace confirmed on May 6, 2022 that “The Queen has decided after careful consideration that this year’s traditional appearance on the Colored Balcony on Thursday 2 June will be limited to Her Majesty and the members of the Royal Family currently present will be carrying out official public duties on behalf of the Queen.” However, they were seen with other extended members of the Royal Family in the Major General’s office.

The duo performed at the National Thanksgiving Service on June 3, 2022 and were booed as they exited the steps of St. Paul’s Cathedral. During the service ceremony, Harry reportedly didn’t make eye contact with his brother Prince William amid their brotherly drama.
