The Queen of the Netherlands, 50, traveled to the capital to open the Jeroen Pit House, which welcomes children in need of 24-hour care.

Maxima, herself a mother of three, chose a pretty soft pink outfit with a floral twist for the occasion.

The Queen wore the colorful outfit, which included a knee-length skirt that blew in the Amsterdam breeze.

She paired it with a ruffled crew-neck top with balloon sleeves in exactly the same color for the outing.

The eye-catcher was a floral fascinator worn by the Dutch Queen to the engagement, which featured pale pink fabric flowers set like a corolla on a cascade of blonde tresses.

Maxima’s hair was styled in luscious waves and bounced on her shoulders as she walked towards the house in a pair of pink Swedish stilettos.

The king, who loves accessories, was spotted holding a pair of cream leather gloves with a small leather handbag in the same colour.

She kept her jewelry discreet, wearing only a silver and a gold bracelet on each wrist and a pair of amethyst gemstone stud earrings.

Natural makeup with a pink lip completed the look, with the mother-of-two sporting a healthy hit of bronzer and some mascara and eyeshadow.

The Jeroen Pit House in Amsterdam took two years to build, with some aspects of its construction delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The house was supposed to open in February but finally opened its doors this week, with Maxima doing the honors.

Built around a communal kitchen and living room, the house aims to make the transition from the hospital to the home easier for the children and their families.

In addition to providing shelter, home staff will educate parents on how to cope with life at home with chronically ill children.
