Queen Maxima of the Netherlands looked casual today, wearing a simple outfit to do some volunteer work.

The 50-year-old royal, accompanied by her husband, King Willem-Alexander, 55, visited Care Farm Op Aarde (On Earth) in Brielle. Care farms in the country are run by people facing physical or mental illness and problems.

Maxima and Willem were volunteers for the NLDoet program, in which people across the Netherlands rolled up their sleeves and took part in charitable activities.

NLdoet is the largest volunteer action in the Netherlands and this year it was launched for the 18th time. About 5,500 events were organized during the campaign.

Dressing appropriately for the task at hand, she pulled on jeans and practical sneakers. She kept warm in a white charity zip-up jacket that matched Willem’s look.

Keeping a relaxed look, Maxima opted to wear her locks loose and unstyled, which matched her casual outfit perfectly.

When it came to her makeup, she opted for a natural yet sophisticated look with a light coverage of foundation.

Her eyes were accentuated with mascara and eyeliner.

Maxima showed that she was not afraid to join the action by grabbing a pitchfork and dragging the straw across the shed with the pitchfork.

Queen Maxima has been a member of the royal family since 2002 when she married King Willem-Alexander.

Willem-Alexander became king after his mother Beatrix abdicated in April 2013 after 33 years as monarch.

Maxima reportedly said she had no idea that Willem-Alexander was heir to the throne when they first met.

The couple have three daughters: Katharina-Amalia, 18, Alexia, 16, and Ariana, 14, who married the Dutch royal family in 2002.
