NoAfter, as reported, unknown perpetrators saw the pole at Neunkirchner Hauptplatz on the night of Sunday to Monday and the tree had to be cut down by the fire department for safety reasons, it has been shining with new splendor since Tuesday. Five meters shorter, but still in all its glory.
“Colleagues from the Municipal Economic Court put up the mast again today with the support of the city’s firefighters. Unfortunately, our tree was sawed down by unknown criminals and therefore had to be cut down yesterday for security reasons. Now it is a little lower, but it is still beautiful and we hope that this time our residents and visitors will be able to enjoy it until the official cut”, says a statement from the municipality.
Big problem
When looking for the criminals, you are still groping in the dark: the images from the webcam mounted in the city hall can provide more information. ÖVP Mayor Herbert Osterbauer is still angry: “Customs or customs, but something like that is not lost on the main square, it is dangerous!”
