Quite a first impression for Elias Lindholm

Elias Lindholm was acquired from the Calgary Flames last Wednesday and hit the target twice rather than once in his first game in a Vancouver Canucks jersey.

On Tuesday evening, the Swede made a significant contribution to the 3-2 win in the duel against the Hurricanes in Carolina.

The newcomer took advantage of numerical advantages in his successes. Both times he deflected shots at the goal from defender Quinn Hughes.

However, it was a third-period effort from JT Miller that made the difference for the British Columbia team. The Canes' nets were the work of Sebastian Aho and Jordan Martinook.

Upon his return to Lindholm, the 29-year-old was acquired in exchange for forward Andrei Kuzmenko, young prospects Joni Jurmo and Hunter Brzustewicz, as well as a 2024 first-round pick and a conditional fourth-round pick.

In addition, Kuzmenko also scored a goal in his first game for the Flames. He scored a power play goal in a 4-1 win against the Bruins in Boston. However, the big offensive star of this duel was Jonathan Huberdeau, who scored a goal and provided two assists.
