MSNBC host Rachel Maddow announced she would only host her eponymous television show on Mondays starting in May, she told viewers on its first night after a hiatus.
The MSNBC personality shared the news Monday night on The Rachel Maddow Show, her first time back to prime time since returning from a two-month hiatus, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Through the end of April, Maddow will host the 9 p.m. slot on MSNBC Mondays through Thursdays, the Times reported.
“We’ll see how things go, but that’s the plan,” Maddow told viewers.

Maddow said she will continue to work on other projects. She took a break from her show to work on podcasts and feature films under a deal with NBCUniversal.
“One of the things I found to my surprise is that I don’t actually need another break,” she said Monday night. “This one was great. But I think I only needed one. I still have these other irons in the fire, all these other things that I’m working on and want to make happen.”
News of Maddow’s new schedule comes after MSNBC recently reorganized its show schedule.
