Radio-Canada: Dany Meloul succeeds Michel Bissonnette

Former Radio-Canada Television general manager Dany Meloul has been named senior vice-president of French Services.

This date was announced on Friday.

Ms Meloul has held the position on an interim basis since the resignation of Michel Bissonnette last October. She has been General Director of Television since 2019.

“This appointment comes at a strategic time for CBC/Radio-Canada, as our industry faces significant challenges and we work to position public broadcasting strongly for the future. Dany has my full confidence, the support of the senior management team and the support of the board,” Catherine Tait, president and CEO of CBC/Radio-Canada, said in a news release Friday.

Dany Meloul has also worked for Bell Media, Astral, Transcontinental and Alcan.
